The Shrine at Nigrodharama

Established in 2019 by the renowned Thai meditation master Tan Ajahn Dtun, Nigrodharama Forest Monastery is a branch monastery of Wat Boonyawad in Thailand and is based on the mode of practice of Ajahn Mun and Ajahn Chah. It comprises 40 acres of serene natural bushland in a remote and quiet farming zone area in Hilldene, 100km north of Melbourne.

This website is operated by lay practitioners in support of the monastery and for the benefit of those wishing to participate in the sangha community.

“That which thinks is not the mind;
rather, it is that which does not think
– that, is the mind.”
